Remembering the Kuerners...Andrew Wyeth's Neighbor

Kuerner

Glenn Cuerden's recent Book, yet to be published.
This well-researched, 272-page book contains 232 large photographs. The 24,000 word naritave documents the flavor and significance of the Kuerners and their farmstead (previously documented in numerous paintings and watercolors -- famously executed by Andrew Wyeth over a fifty-year period). Glenn's photography is reminicent of Wyeth's artistic style in honestly capturing the mystique and and brittle, old-world values of Anna Kuerner in this Chadds Ford, Pennslyvania village.

An Iowa PBS Feature (2005)

"A featured television segment titled The Rural Midwest and
produced by Iowa Public Television (PBS) airs throughout Iowa
and surrounding states during May 2005. Glenn Cuerden of
Cuerden Advertising Design took all the photographs and wrote
the text which was then set to music with voice-over. A haunting segment, it depicts a vision of the rural life of past generations...
a lifestyle that is quickly disappearing in the Midwest farmland
along the Mississippi River. Cuerden states,
'I try to capture the essence that reveals itself in the remnants'."
